Legal Literacy

In our society, there is a high tendency that the continuous violation of human rights is because the victims are not aware of their rights and appropriate procedures to take legal actions against the perpetrators. Taking the above sentence into consideration, the Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa organizes public lectures aimed at educating the public on their rights.

This education mostly targets people who seek to know their rights, the local population who are not aware of their rights, and the perpetrators of rights violations/abuses.

To achieve these goals, CHRDA partners with parental and small organizations, churches, youths, and student union bodies to create an awareness of fundamental human rights. CHRDA uses intermittent conferences, panel discussions, workshops, public lectures delivered at educational institutions, traditional and social media platforms to get to the above-mentioned partner institutions.
